Outra opção é uma contenção invisível semelhante ao aparelho dentário Invisalign. Na mandíbula (arco dentário inferior), a contenção mais utilizada é fixa e conhecida como 3×3. Ela é confeccionada com um fio ortodôntico contornado e colado à superfície lingual dos dentes incisivos inferiores.
